Requiem for Mankind is the third album by Memoriam (a mix of Bolt Thrower and Benediction). Death metal is probably my favorite sub genre right now and it hasn’t seen too many releases this year. Death metal fans like to keep it traditional and old school,Read More
The real Inertia strives to serve the Dark Lord by creating sounds meant to penetrate boundaries, expectations, and your girlfriends’ panties.
But really, they are three dudes who love metal in (almost) all its forms. Beginning in A.D. 2015, Inertia came together out of boredom and frustration with no real goal aside from shredding their own faces and making their ears bleed.
As time goes on, they continue to try and challenge themselves without killing each other or scaring people away. To this day they consider themselves marginally successful at these goals.
The real Inertia is not a Christian band. Hail Satan. #nosuchthingasdarkrock

Coming in at 14 tracks is the second album, Bleed Out, Heal Out, by Walkways out of Israel. What caught my ear is that they remind me of a more calm version of Opeth. The riffs are more simple than prog metal, but the vocals hold a lot of power and attention. The album made me want to do some digging and I came cross their 2015 performance at Wacken Open Air. I was blown away by their live performance and the energy that surrounds them.Read More

Got to love a metal band called Hate. Just from their name you know you’re getting into something good. Something brutal, mean and nasty. From heart pounding blasts to sinister vocals, this album has it all.Read More
Majestica sounds exactly as their name implies, majestic. The title track “Above the Sky” kicks off the album and instantly, right off the bat, the sound could fill a mountain with its epicness. Majestica brings speed, power, and strong vocals to this album and what carves out their own place in metal. 2019 has seen a lot of grimey, gritty death metal releases and Above the Sky flies on a more positive note.Read More

Lay My Head Down is the 10 track album by New York’s Broken Field Runner. In the recent years, indie rock has taken a back seat as radio turns to poppy tracks and artists, but Lay My Head Down has that early 2000s feeling of fresh, emotional-driven rock. The vocals are just straight up pure and bleed with sentiment and melancholy. Lay My Head Down aligns itself with the more “emo” side of indie rock, but utilizes different elements that make for a vivid listening experience.Read More
