The production on this record isn’t too bad. There are some points where I feel like it could have been better. I feel like the vocals are mixed a bit higher than the instruments. But it definitely isn’t terrible. It still slams. I feel like their shining element is the slams. They are insanely heavy, and I feel like with some fine tuning they could be huge.
I don’t feel like there is too much of a structure to the music. But the tracks aren’t erratic either. They flow very well and are super relentless. As im sitting here listening to this album, Its very easy to bob my head along to. I cant tell if there is a theme for the release. I feel like these guys could write a super sweet concept album.
Ill definitely play this again. Even though I think some parts could have sounded better, its still heavy and slams. Thats all that really matters to me. My favorite part of the record is the breakdowns. Between the heavy chugs and the pissed off gutturals, it should make the listen want to crowd kill their entire room. One thing id love to see them improve on is the recording. If everything was just a hair clearer, I feel like they could be unstoppable.
Overall, I dig these guys. They have the possibility to be a big name in the scene. They have some toilet bowl guttural vocals that are companied by some sick angry riffs. If you are a fan of some slamming death core, this record is definitely for you.
